New Apple ‘if you don’t have an iPhone’ ads takes aim at competition

In the latest Apple ad to air on television for the iPhone, they are taking aim at the competition by showcasing the app opportunities available to you, if you own an iPhone that is.

The apps available for the iPhone has become a clear strategic advantage for Apple in the smartphone market, and although Google with their Android Market is chasing their tail, they still got a long way to go before catching up. The choice of wording in the ad though could also be interpreted as Apple picking up the battle as they are starting to feel a bit of pressure on the smartphone side, especially from the many Android based smartphones entering the market these days.
